Training and The HARMONY Scale.
What is the HARMONY Scale?
It's a quick and easy tool that helps you understand how the people
are feeling and helps you choose the best strategy to make things better.
Why am I having difficulty now?
How do I get this meeting back on track?
What is missing in this team?
What is the best training to revive our passion?
What do I need to know about me and the people around me?
Figure out the human element in just a few minutes and without reams of paperwork.
With just a little training the HARMONY Scale can be a constant source of assurance and direction.

Completing the Scale should only take a few minutes, with just a little reading below it should only take about
10 minutes all in all. Please read the material below first if you haven't already seen Richard Hill speaking.
This has been made
as simple as possible, but that's not to say that it's shallow and easy. You need to understand a few things
first. If you've been to a lecture with Richard Hill and understand the background, then please just go straight
to the HARMONY Scale Form. Have fun, but be true.
Change Your Workplace into a Lifeplace.
Business/Human Performance:At the MindScience Institute we know that if people are performing then business can perform.
We also know that if
people are stretched and stressed, they don't perform and business suffers. We also know that sometimes
people and business
are their own worst enemies - they just do bad things to each other!
Let's turn the Workplace into a Lifeplace where people come to participate in the great experience
that a workplace can and should be.
Let's create a shared experience between workers, customers and anyone else to make each
day great to be alive not in spite of work, but as much because of work as the other wonderful aspects of our lives.
There is no work/life balance - we are alive all the time. Are we saying that at work we are not alive?
Let's fix that crazy idea as soon as possible!
The HARMONY Principle.
Using The Complexity Theory, it is dead easy to see what goes wrong. The diagram to the left tells it all.
You may prefer the linear diagram below. Both tell the same story.
Rigidity - If things get too rigid,
predictable, same ol' same ol', then the energy just wastes away. Something has to be done to spark things up.
(If your situation feels like this, click 'R' when completing the Harmony Scale.)
Chaos - On the other hand, if things get too crazy, too exciting, too active, the whole thing can blow apart.
Something needs to be
done to hold things together. (If your situation feels like this, click 'C' when completing the Harmony Scale.)
Harmony - The state of harmony is when you stop jerking from one extreme to the other and get control of the situation.
The key is a wise and mindful response to the flow toward rigidity or chaos and to do what is appropriate
AS IT IS NEEDED,
not after a disaster! (If your situation feels like this, click 'H' when completing the Harmony Scale.)
So, what is 'appropriate'? The MindScience Institute and/or one of its many friends have fantastic programs to
lift you out of rigidity or save you from chaos.
EMOTIONAL IQ * CUSTOMER RELATIONS * PERSONAL GROWTH *
BELIEFS AND BARRIERS * COMMUNICATION SKILLS * PRESENTATION SKILLS *
CREATIVE IQ * DESIGN A 'YES' WORKPLACE * MINDSCIENCE INTEGRATION or whatever you might need.
Which program, or better, which specially designed package is the one you need?
Time and Money:Before we even start to talk programs, time or money, let's find
out where we stand.
The HARMONY Scale has been developed by the MindScience Institute to do just that. It's quick, simple and
Richard Hill's personal first analysis is free.
Where are the issues? Who needs the help - Individuals? Groups? Mangement? The Company itself?
All you need do is answer on a scale of 0-10 how you feel the 7 elements of the
HARMONY Scale are being expressed. Also, do you feel the situation is rigid, flowing or chaotic. There are no right or wrong answers
and this is not any type of IQ test. It is the first step in what we hope proves to be a very productive conversation.
Below is a simple form that you can submit online. Personal details are not demanded. Only what you wish to share at this time.
The H.A.R.M.O.N.Y. Scale.

These are the qualities and capacities that you are being asked to consider. In the form you are asked to
grade these qualities 0-10. Couldn't be more straightforward. The analysis is not computer generated. It is done personally by
Richard Hill. It is the relationship of the answers, not each individual grading, so just answer as you feel for
the moment.
Happy -
do you feel that who you are and what you are capable of is allowed to be expressed -
are you able to be who you truly believe you are in this situation?
Able -
a) how strong are your skills and abilities in this situation? AND
b) do you have the opportunity to express those skills and abilities?
Receptive -
how much do you notice, acknowledge, empathise and appreciate what is going on around you?
Mindful -
are you able to hold a non-judgemental view that is enhanced by the lessons of the past
and encouraged by the possibilities of the future?
Open -
do you feel safe to give out, to express your thoughts and feelings.
Nascent -
do you have a feeling, or even belief, that what is being done is going to go somewhere, will be something worthwhile
and deserves some effort even though there is no certainty of the result?
Yes -
does your environment help you feel creative and engaged - 'yes' OR is it closed and uncomfortable to be creative
or innovative - 'no'? Zero is for the most 'no' and 10 is for a 'yes' environment. 'No' exudes from unpleasant workspaces, frowning faces, not being listened to,
no greenery in sight, threats to secure employment, fear of taking initiative. 'Yes' is the opposite: bright workplaces,
helpful and encouraging management, interesting work, eye contact when being spoken to etc.
